FLOWER CARE

Cut stems at an angle and immediately place in clean, room temperature water.

Strip extra foliage and flowers from the part of the stem that’s submerged in water.

Clean water equals longer flower life!

Flower food is your friend.
Follow mixing directions on flower food packets or else it’s not effective.

Keep flowers away from direct sunlight and direct heat.

ARRANGING TIPS

Add your base foliage first. That way you create a nice, supportive base in which to arrange.

Think of line, color, dimension, and balance. Add a line of flowers your eye can follow, and/or add a focal point where your eye can rest by using a large, focal flower, or a grouping of flowers. Add dimension by placing your flowers at different heights and angles.

Pay attention to each flower’s stem and unique shape. Don’t force a stem - follow it’s shape and/or gently support it with other flowers or foliage.

A more wild-looking arrangement is asymmetrical. An asymmetrical arrangement is dynamic, less formal, and creative!

If you get stuck or are unsure of your design, take a step back or step away for a bit. Or take a photo of your arrangement and see where your eye rests or where your eye gets stuck. (Although don’t over-analyze the photo.)

Most importantly, have fun and enjoy your time with the flowers!
